Playing in Powdered Snow!
“Everyone has a child within,” Christian explained. This Rønningen students where soon to experience. Indeed Ronningen’s ‘Snow Day’ brought laughter and bonding as students skied, sled, tackled and even stripped in the loose powdered snow!
Saturday 21st of January, Rønningen students divided into groups to attend various snow activities in the forest, organized by the sports class. At Helene’s and Sverke’s posts students struggled to ski on four-man skies and mini-skies, while they played curling with Richard and paintball with Helga. At Silje’s post some more frozen students stood in the cold, stripping to form the longest string of clothes. Some complained but the cold provided perfect conditions for rugby, organized by Tina, allowing students to tackle each other in the soft, powdered snow. However it was harder for the first group sledging with Åse, though after some attempts a fun route was formed.
The day was a success and ended with a barbeque on Langsetlokka! Everyone agreed that experiencing Norwegian winter culture and being a child for a day was fun!
